LAGUNA CAMPGROUND
Laguna Campground is a great mountain getaway just one hour east of San Diego, California in the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area. Campers can enjoy cooler temperatures, unique natural areas and an extensive trail system at this mountain facility from summer through early fall.

Features: A secluded small campground near an intermittent stream at 4,100 feet elevation, outside the Recreation Area. Access is via Sunrise Highway on the mountain or Kitchen Creek Road off Interstate 8.
Sites: 25 campsites, each with a picnic table and fireplace, maximum of 8 people per site.

DISBURSED CAMPING
Remote camping is only permitted outside of the Laguna Recreation Area (see Recreation Area Trail map for boundaries). A permit is required (free of charge) and can be obtained from a U.S. Forest Service Office or the Visitor Information Center (619-473-8547) at Mt. Laguna, or can be mailed by calling (619) 445-6235. Check permit for applicable regulations. If you need a permit on a Friday, be sure to call the Visitor Center to make sure it is open.

Pine Creek Road, about 1 mile W of Sunrise Highway. No camping in Borrow Pit or Filaree Meadow. An Adventure Pass is required on Pine Creek Road, in addition to the remote camping permit.
Wood or charcoal fires are not permitted.
Portable liquid and solid fuel stoves OK.
Camp at least 100 feet from lakes, streams, springs, and meadows.
